Cheri is a highly-skilled therapist with more than 20 years of experience counseling individuals, couples, and families. Her sound, practical and results-oriented approach provides solutions for couples and individuals. She believes in helping clients choose actionable behaviors that put them on the road to a happier and more fulfilling life. By using both solution-focused and cognitive behavioral approaches, Cheri finds that clients see improvement much quicker than in traditional passive therapeutic approaches.
When working with couples, Cheri’s direct yet non-judgmental approach helps determine which patterns are holding them back and then helps them establish new, more productive patterns. Cheri is open and accepting of all types of relationships and clients appreciate her direct approach to addressing areas of conflict. Cheri’s goal is to help her clients realize their potential through careful assessment, coaching and counseling. Cheri completed her undergraduate work at Kansas State University where she earned a Bachelor Degree in Social Work. After moving to Texas, she attended Texas A&M-Commerce where she obtained her Masters Degree in Counseling and Guidance. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (license # 16956) in the State of Texas and a Licensed Baccalaureate Social Worker (license #26389) in the State of Texas.
